Darien Survivors

CLIENT | OIM – Club Rotaract Panamá
LOCATION | Darién, Panama

The migrant’s route to the American dream intersects with its most uncertain and violent stretch in the impenetrable Darién Gap. The pandemic has exponentially increased the number of souls who expose their lives to robberies, rapes and murders on long journeys through the most suffocating jungle that Colombia and Panama share on their borders.

More than 100,000 adults and almost 30,000 minors arrived last year at reception centers where pain and suffering follow you at every step. Many others did not.

This mini-documentary made in collaboration with the OIM team and Rotaract Panama, is an audiovisual and photographic report that reflects the work of humanitarian aid in one of the most dangerous migratory routes in Latin America.
